Wixoss All Stars Event Update:
Hello Wixoss players, this is Rikabuto, speaking about the Wixoss All Stars event that has just happened in the past two months. First off,I will share about the Tanabata Event that happened on the 14th July. Around 40+ players attended this event. There were a few unique activities in this event.
One of those activities is (of course) writing a wish on a Tanzaku (Wish Slip)! It is a part of the special lucky draw held in which the winners get their wishes granted. This is the wall of wishes written by all of the players.
Of course, they also have the regular lucky draw in which one has the chance to win the whole Tanabata LRIG set. Take note that the participation prize is a random Tanabata promo while the grand prize is the whole Tanabata LRIG set.
As for the tourney itself, there were quite a number of interesting match ups, due to the randomness of the Single elimination format. Our local memelord Jeff piloted a very aggressive Guzuko deck, but ended up unlucky and “got beaten” by the classic Donna deck, (piloted by McMegane) which runs Innocent Defence instead of the more popular Nameless Fear.
Once again, Adrian managed to plow through to the Semi Finals (Top 4), along with our last All Stars winner Kenneth, and one guy that piloted a classic Hanayo Four, Snow, Moon, Wind and Fire deck. The wild card is a rouge Tawil deck that has Liwat [which is technically still Tawil] stuff in it, after he drew the winning card to stay in contention for the Tanabata box set (Out of the players eliminated at Top6).
The top 6 contestants. In the top 4 (and once again), Adrian’s winning streak was put to a disappointing stop by Kenneth, and the Hanayo player bested the rouge Tawil. The final match between Kenneth and the Hanayo player is in Kenneth’s opinion, much less stressful as compared to his semi-finals match with Adrian, where the aggressive nature of both decks made the match much harder, due to the fact that Wixoss gives mana resources to opponents as their lifecloth are crushed, and that both decks are reliant on ener to perform their respective OTKs. Kenneth was using Aiyai 3 deck with Big Bang and “Blue Suggest” which removes exceeds under the LRIG, which renders exceed related response useless, while Aiyai has the Resona “Swingride” which is the core engine to replenish her hand and ener.

August Ceremony:
The next Wixoss Ceremony happened during the Singapore National day week. For this ceremony, we have the Midoriko and Guzuko Wedding art promo cards while the winner and the runner-up gets the foiled congrats version of the mentioned promo cards.
For this ceremony, we will focus on the veteran player Jeff, who finally gets his beloved Guzuko Wedding Congrats card after being knocked out during the early stages for the last two Wixoss Ceremony events. As an icing to the cake, Jeff got his sweet revenge on the very same Donna player (Mcmegane) who beat him during the last Wixoss Ceremony with his new-found Battoru meme: A Tama 4-turn OTK deck which revolves around Tama’s iconic and (meme) card: The infamous Arc-Gain (No really, ban it please). When I talked to Jeff about his innovative idea behind this deck, he humbly said that he took the idea from a certain winner’s decklist in Japan, and then modified parts of the deck so that any glaring weakness would be properly addressed. He also mentions that he picked this deck after reviewing through the decks that Singaporean players are more likely to play, as not many people play the tech-in card(s) that counters this deck.
The combo pieces are as follows:
Lrig Deck: ⦁ Tama-Miko of White Destruction (Innocence) ⦁ Falling Essence-Flowing Splendour (Double Crush and Assassin) ⦁ Become You (Tempo) ⦁ Aiyai Deal (Restander) ⦁ Spirit Salvage Key Signi Field: ⦁ Arcgain, Archangel of Pioneering (Immunity to opponent effects other than LRIG) ⦁ ≡Promeus≡, Taboo Flame (On attack, Banish a Signi that has a power of 7000 or lower) ⦁ One Level 4 Angel, preferably Hestia, Altar of Sacred Fire, or the second Arcgain Essentially, the deck revolves around a combo, in which during the 4th turn, Jeff would ideally have 2 red cards, 2 Green Cards, 1 White Card and 2 cards of any colour to successfully pull this combo off. This is possible due to the fact that as a class, there are Angels that represent every colour, allowing for ener-charging and Tama-Limited Angel cards that allows for deck-searching. It is also note-worthy that Aiyai Deal is card that allows for the payment of two ener of any colour. The ARTS card, Become You, allows Jeff to reach lvl 4 first if he goes second, while serving as a retrieval card if Jeff starts first. Also, he must have the Key Signis on his hand, or at least cards that can search them in his deck. In first few turns, Jeff used search cards which do not involve any ener usage such as Haniel and Valkyrie to fetch his key cards while he tries to crush as many lifecloths as possible, in which 4 remaining cloth is the ideal number. Once he starts his turn 4, he will initiate the OTK combo. The ARTS, Falling Essence-Flowing Splendour is used to give Arcgain the Double Crush and Assassin, while Spirit Salvage allows for reuse of the mentioned ARTS card, giving the other Level 4 Angel the Double Crush and Assassin too. Aiyai Key is used to give one of the lvl 4 Angels a restand. Arcgain is crucial because she gives herself and Jeff’s Angels immunity to all opponents’ effects other than their LRIG, which means that the opponent’s ARTS cannot affect Jeff’s field, which are filled up with those above mentioned 3 Angels. As the opponent’s LRIG response is still effective against Arcgain, that is where Tama’s Innocence comes in with the clause: “Until end of turn, all of your opponent's currently active effects don't do anything.” Yes, that Innocence. At this point in time, Tama blocks responses from the opposing LRIG (more appropriately their keys) and by then, if Jeff’s opponent does not play appropriate tech-in ARTS like Anti-Ability, it is usually a swing for game. The resulting potential damage from the Angels themselves amounts up to 7, 6 coming from both the lvl 4 angels and 1 coming from ≡Promeus≡, Taboo Flame.
Note’s McMegane’s expression as he realized that he could not respond against Jeff’s onslaught. Tech-in cards include Linze, and Dark Cognate, is also used to facilitate his defence against early aggro decks like Adrian’s (during the Semi-Finals).
The Top 4 which consists of Jeff, Ivan, Nicholas and Adrian who won the wild card draw among the other two contestants: McMegane and Hantu.
Adrian (once again) lost in semifinals against Jeff who trolled him via his topdeck triple Linze which locked away Adrian’s spells and ARTS, the essentials of his Yuzuki 2 deck, while Ivan won the best of one against Nicholas using his signature Yuzuki 3 that he has piloted in his first Wixoss All Stars tournament.
Unsurprisingly, Jeff used the same combo against Ivan in the finals and as a result, received the congrats card that he really wants, the Guzuko wedding congrats card. Not to say, Ivan is still satisfied with the outcome, as he receives his second wedding congrats card, Midoriko in a wedding dress. The winner and the runner up of this Wixoss All Stars event. Congrats to both of you and enjoy your loot! Here is the picture of Jeff's decklist.
Winner: Jeff’s 4-OTK Tama 4 Deck Runner up: Ivan’s Yuzuki 3 Deck
With Ivan’s closing remark: “Tama is OP!”, we reach the conclusion of this report and we hope to see you at the next All-Stars party. For videos of the event, do look to our Youtube channel @SG WIXOSS. Thanks!
